About Andile Ramaphosa
Andile has spent 5 years in Cross-border M&A advisory and Business Development (coverage) in China and over 11 years in international business in Africa.
Andile’s experiences include advising China Guangdong Nuclear (CGNPC), China State Grid, China Development Bank (CDB), China Africa Development Fund (CADF), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) amongst others, across metals & mining, construction and industrial services as well as energy sectors.
Before joining Macquarie Bank (South Africa), Andile worked for Standard Bank (China) as part of the team that initiated the ICBC strategic co-cooperation.
Headed-up Macquarie First South Bank Africa Strategy, working in the executive with the Chairman of the Bank.
Currently, Andile has been in private business for 9 years, as Managing Director of Blue Crane Capital. Over the past 5 years, he has also co-founded Supplier Development Initiatives (SDI), successfully empowering hundreds of SMMEs in South Africa, in partnership with First National Bank (FNB).
He currently holds a B,Bus,Sc (Finance) from the University of Cape Town, a EMA masters from Fudan University in Shanghai China and Master in Global Finance from NYU Stern (New York University) and HKUST (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology).
